Collaborative
Collaborative divorce is a legally binding process by which a couple working with legal, financial and family specialists can separate in a cost efficient manner without the uncertainty of litigation and lengthy court proceedings.
Our role in the collaborative process is that of the Financial Neutral. We work on behalf of the couple championing financial clarity and an equity of understanding surrounding the marital assets and the impact current financial decisions will have on the family in the future.
As Treasurer of the NOLA Collaborative Divorce Association, Lou is committed to helping divorcing spouses come to a financial settlement that works for the whole family without the expensive litigation process.
Traditional
Traditional divorce is a means of separation involving legal proceedings presided over by a court. The legal representatives present their respective client’s case to the court and the court rules on issues such as child custody, separation of assets, alimony, and child support.
In the traditional divorce process, we work with the attorney to analyze the marital assets, issue expert reports and provide forensic litigation support with respect to financial aspects of the proceedings. We conduct retrospective financial investigations on behalf of our client to find forgotten or hidden assets and appropriately value investments and business interests.
We pride ourselves on bringing clarity to complex financial cases.
